Andrew Goddard

Originally from Manchester, England, I have called the United States home for more than 30 years. Before joining Black Tie Transportation in April 2025, I spent many years in the technology industry and was also a frequent Black Tie client. Experiencing Black Tie from the passenger’s perspective gave me a firsthand understanding of the professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail that clients expect.

Driving has always been one of my greatest passions. As I often say, “If you work at doing what you love, it’s not work.” Every trip is an opportunity to meet new people, help make someone’s day a little easier, and provide the exceptional experience that Black Tie is known for.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a chauffeur is recognizing that every client is different. Some enjoy conversation, while others simply appreciate a quiet, comfortable ride. Adapting to each person’s needs is what makes this work so enjoyable.

One compliment has always stood out to me. When a client falls asleep during the ride, I consider it the silent, ultimate recognition that everything is smooth, everything is exactly as it should be. Hearing someone wake up and say, “We’re here already?” tells me I’ve done my job well.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, caring for an elderly neighbor, and, perhaps not surprisingly, driving. I’m proud to represent Black Tie Transportation every time I welcome a client into one of our vehicles.
